About the work

Madeline Bohrer was born in 1992. She belongs to a generation also known as “digital natives” (millennials, generation Y). Inspired by her own experience, the artist explores the continually evolving and varied identities and aspects of millennials; the role of technology, social media, femininity and overconsumption. Bohrer often incorporates historical references with contrasting contemporary imagery using mixed media techniques.
